Hot Wheels Collectors are gearing up for an exciting release on June 3rd, as Mattel unveils the RLC 1968 Custom Plymouth Barracuda. This highly anticipated model marks the first sELECTIONs car for 2025, a testament to the discerning tastes of RLC members who voted it to the top.
Designed by the talented Phil Riehlman, this custom Barracuda is a personal passion project brought to life. Riehlman explains his vision: “The car is a vision of what I’d do with my ’68 notchback Barracuda if money was no object, with custom body work including flairs, rear spoiler, front spoiler, and front splitter.” The RLC community further elevated this dream with their chosen details, including a striking Spectraflame antifreeze paint job and Real Riders 5-spoke mag wheels.
This 1:64 scale die-cast features a ZAMAC body, complemented by a matte black roof and a matte black painted chassis. Collectors will appreciate the intricate details, such as the painted engine and chassis, light smoke-tinted windows, and a black interior with a dark gray roll bar. Don’t miss your chance to add this “off-the-hook” Barracuda to your collection before it’s gone!
The RLC 1968 Custom Plymouth Barracuda sales start on June 3rd at 9am (USA Pacific Time).
