The “Salão Diecast” has established itself as the premier event in Brazil for diecast enthusiasts. Held annually in the city of São Paulo since 2019 (it only did not take place in 2020 due to the pandemic), the event has grown in importance within the Brazilian collector community, becoming an essential meeting point for those who share this passion. Its appeal extends to a diverse audience, ranging from experienced collectors to families looking for a different leisure activity.
In addition to promoting collecting, “Salão Diecast” plays a crucial role in creating a strong sense of community among collectors, friends, families and enthusiasts. The event is a space where the passion for miniatures can be shared, strengthening the bonds between participants.
In 2023 the “Salão Diecast” expanded. In addition to the São Paulo event, an event was also held for the first time in Portugal called “Salão Diecast Portugal”.
Exhibitions and sales are, of course, one of the big attractions. It is possible to find everything from common miniatures, easily found in stores, to rare miniatures, such as limited edition and old miniatures. In addition, several customizers exhibit and sell their work, showcasing their creativity and skill. Since most of them work with 1/64 scale miniatures, it’s impressive what they can do on such a small scale.
Traditionally, the “Salão Diecast” starts on Thursday and the schedule is as follows:
- Thursday: VIP Dinner, an exclusive event, with very limited places (in 2025 there are 130 tickets) and which includes dinner and exclusive gifts from the VIP package.
- Friday: Gala Dinner, also with limited places (in 2025 there will be 500 tickets) and which includes dinner and exclusive gifts.
- Saturday and Sunday: the main event takes place on both days, all day long, and tickets can be purchased in advance, or at the venue on the days of the event.
